Calf raise

Primary Muscles Worked: Calves

Begin this exercise with the balls of the feet on a sturdy board that is at least 2 to 3 inches off the ground. Complete it by slowly raising your heals up and down. To work all calf muscles point both toes forward. In order to work inner muscles specifically point your toes outward. To work outer muscles point your toes inward.

Calf Raises 31.Place the ball of the foot on a sturdy and stable board (that is around 2-3 inches tall) while your heels extend off and hover just above the floor.

Calf Raises 2 2.With the toes pointing either straight (to hit all parts equally), inwards (for emphasis on the outer head), or outwards (for emphasis on the inner head), raise the heels off the floor as you exhale by contracting the calves. Hold the top contraction for a second.
Calf Raises 33. As you inhale, go back to the starting position by slowly lowering the heels.
