Shoulder circles

Primary Muscles Worked: Shoulders, Traps

Shoulder circles are an easy exercise you can do anywhere, anytime.  Requiring little time, this exercise reaps great benefits if performed properly and regularly.  This is a great exercise to begin your workout routine as it increases your heart rate and warms up your shoulders and upper body.

Shoulder Circles 11. Stand with feet shoulder width apart. With or without dumbbells, rest your hands by your sides.

Shoulder Circles 22. Adopt a neutral spine and brace the abdominals and back muscles. Raise your arms out to your side until both are parallel to the floor.
Shoulder Circles 33. From this position gradually start rotating the arms backwards in a controlled circular motion. Keep moving your arms in circles for one minute.
