Try these easy smoothie recipes to fuel up your children for an action-packed day. These are drinks they’ll actually request and are oh so good for them, not to mention taste good going down.
I recommend a high powered blender, such as a Vitamix or Blendtec. You can adjust (change the milk or juice) or add (chia seeds, spirulina or wheatgrass, etc) to these smoothies as you see fit. You’ll notice most recipes call for frozen fruit. This is to have a cold drink – you can always use ice instead. Experiment and enjoy!!

Tropical Delight
2-3 handfuls of spinach
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup hemp milk
2-3 cubes crystalized ginger
1/3 cup frozen mangoes
1/3 cup frozen bananas
1/3 cup frozen papaya (or pineapple)
Fill blender with spinach, ginger, apple juice and milk. Blend into liquid.
Blend in frozen fruit. YUM! You can also add spirulina for an added boost!
Berry Smoothie
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 large spoonful of plain greek yogurt
1/3 stick frozen acai berry smoothie pack
1 cup grape juice
