Shona Thomson is a remarkable runner. She is the first Scottish and third British female to run a marathon or further on every continent and join the Seven Marathons Continents Club. And when she completed the North Pole Marathon in 2014 she became one of only nine women worldwide to enter the exclusive Marathon Grand Slam Club.

Following a successful career in the City of London Shona is now dedicated to mentoring, encouraging and inspiring others to take up and benefit from running.

Shone has recently been ranked in the Inspired 50 List - a list of the 50 most inspiring people in London, sponsored by the Lord Mayor of London and the City of London.

A winner of The Adventurer of the Year Award and Inspiring Others Award, in 2015 Shona sits on the judging panel of the UK National Adventure Awards.

So happy with this plan! I followed Learn to Run I and now in the middle of the part II and i am absolutely loving them! Always thought that being able to run would really help me with my fitness but never actually got around to it! This plan was a real motivator to achieve my goals and obviously my body benefited so much from it!

I can't believe how good this is. I am on week 3 and loving it. I need to lose weight. I love swimming and cycling but I feel this is what our bodies were made for. It feels like I'm exercising all muscle groups. It's helping my asthma too.

I did the “Learn to run I” part and I improved my running a lot. I was a beginner and after the part one I was able to run a 5k race. If you follow the training and advices your endurance will definitely improve. Now I'm doing this part to achieve a 10k race I want to participate in summer. I am enjoying running more day by day. These plans are so easy to follow for beginners as it combines walks training with running techniques.
