In Part 1 Kerry discussed the benefits of a holistic lifestyle and her book ‘Seven Steps to Optimal Health.’ In this part of the interview Kerry will give us a sneak-peak into her upcoming book and talk about the benefits of meditation.
6. Do you have any plans to write another book, if yes, what will it be about?

Yes, I am currently writing my second book it is about Gratitude, Forgiveness and Emotional Healing and how these are important aspects to look at and to address on our wellness journey.
I feel we are living with too much fear and anger in the 21st Century and we need to find ways to let go and find inner peace.
7. You have written several articles on detoxing. Personally, what’s your preferred detox method?
My preferred detox method is a natural and supported cleanse that supports the body’s natural detox pathways, with whole foods, clean water and daily gratitude and meditation practice.
I also get clients to think about other areas of their lives where toxins are present, skincare, household products and emotions.
I use a cleanse supplement protocol from a company that produce natural and organic supplements to a pharmaceutical grade. It is important when we remove toxins that we are not putting them back in and using products that “do what they say on the tin.”
8. You mentioned in one of your articles that you practice meditation daily and you use two different techniques to meditate; one called Theta Healing.
Can you tell us about Theta Healing?
ThetaHealing has quite simply changed my life.
The ThetaHealing® technique is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy, it is not specific to one religion but accepting them all. It is a training method for your mind, body and spirit that allows you to clear limiting beliefs create a positive lifestyle through meditation and prayer.
The sum total of our life experiences and the memories associated with them impact on how we approach our lives now, day to day. It’s “the baggage” from the past that keeps us less than fulfilled and stops us from achieving the results we want.
ThetaHealing® is a process that teaches us:
1. To let go of negative emotions from the past
2. To let go of limiting decisions from the past
3. Design and create our future the way we want it
9. What do you feel are the biggest benefits of meditation? Should everyone meditate?
Yes everyone should meditate! Scientific evidence apart and there are numerous studies as well as anecdotal evidence of how meditation has changed people lives.
Without getting into technical terms for me personally the biggest benefits are clarity, better focus, feeling calm and in control and seeing things from a bigger perspective – too often we get caught up in the drama of what I call “first world problems” and we don’t see the bigger picture.
I feel meditation calms the mind, it allows us to let our thoughts flow and to see our thoughts for what they are just thoughts, not anything that controls us and it allows bigger picture thinking as well as increased creativity.
10. As someone who works with people suffering from illnesses, what is the most dramatic transformation you’ve seen someone undertake purely by adjusting their health and lifestyle?
I see so many dramatic transformations it is hard to pick one, and often for me it is the smaller things of people being able to sleep better, having more confidence, making the connection between their food and their moods.
I would have to say the most dramatic change I have had is with a client who for 7 years lived on 3-4 hours sleep, could not lose weight, had constant tummy issues and was told there was nothing that could be done for her.
Within 3 weeks of working with me, she was sleeping 7 hours a night, had started to lose weight and was back to regular bowel movements and no bloating and gas.
It is truly amazing what we can achieve when we make the connection with what we eat and how it impacts our health.
