Have you heard that expression before? I’m sure we all have. And hopefully experienced luck as well. We all need a bit (or a lot) of luck in our lives.
Have you been born lucky? Or maybe there’s someone you know who has been. We have so many different opinions about where the luck is coming from.RELATED: RECOMMENDED PLANS FOR YOU
Like everything else in our lives, luck comes for a reason
It doesn’t choose the most beautiful, smart, rich or clever person to move in with. You choose it yourself. Yes, it’s as simple as that.
You might want to be lucky, but do you act accordingly?
If you have considered yourself unlucky so far, my guess would be – you’re not unlucky at all. For every action, there’s a appropriate reaction. And it all starts a sequence of events.
The subconscious mind
It goes a bit deeper. It starts from your thoughts, from your subconscious mind that runs our body.
Think of the subconscious mind as the storage room of everything that is currently not on your mind. Something that you or your body does on daily basis without putting any attention or thought to.
The subconscious mind stores all of your previous life experiences, your beliefs, your memories, you skills, all situations you’ve been through and all images you’ve ever seen.
So, how do we understand the subconscious mind?
The best way to understand the subconscious mind is to look at the example of the person who wants to learn how to drive a car. At the beginning you wouldn’t be able to have a conversation with your friend who sits next to you while driving as you have to focus on the different moves involved.
You will have to repeat those action many times using your conscious mind until it becomes a habit.
Linked to your emotions and feelings
The subconscious mind is responsible for the feelings triggered automatically and the emotions that you suddenly experience when facing a new situation.
If you’re about to give a speech, all the feelings of fear and anxiety you might experience are in fact controlled by your subconscious mind.
That’s why we have to look deeper and pay attention to our thoughts and feelings to understand what’s going on and where we need to make changes.
Our thoughts trigger our actions and they create our luck, or lack of it
Remember the saying: “What goes around, comes around.”That’s not a magic it’s a law of the universe. Everything is happening for a reason and we have to take 100% responsibility for that.
What ever you feel at the particular moment, creates your future. It will draw more of the same things to your life.
For example: if you feel anger while being stuck in the traffic, this emotion of anger attracts more anger. You will notice that there will be more “annoying” things and people coming your way the same day or day after.
To change the direction of things happening to/with you, you have to change your thoughts and reactions to the same situation.
Stuck in traffic? So what!
Enjoy listening to the music, look around and notice life happening around you.
Usually we are so busy and stuck in our own world, we have stopped noticing all the beauty around us.
Be present in that exact moment.
Feel not just notice, hear not just listen, and see not just look. It’s so beautiful and you can be part of it.
It’s not going to be easy at the beginning as you have to reprogram your mind, change your habits, learn new behaviour. But the rewards are priceless. Start from something very small. As soon as you wake up in the morning, notice what kind of thoughts are rushing through your head.
What do you say to yourself?
How do you feel? If you say to yourself: “Oh, that’s so early, I’m so tired, that miserable weather again….” Those kind of thoughts will make you feel exactly what you have just said to yourself: tired, annoyed and angry .
How productive do you think you will be with those emotions inside of you? How will you speak to your child or partner at this state? How will you respond to even small challenges that day can bring?
Being in this state is like being constantly blindfolded
You see the same picture everywhere you go. You won’t notice new amazing opportunities, new people that could of bring lots of joy and love into your life.
You literally blocking yourself out from luck’s sight. And with just a few small actions , you can start inviting all the luck back into your life. Like attracts like.
Positive thoughts lead to positive actions and they lead you to a new, more beautiful, fulfilling life with so many opportunities. Just go out there and take them all.
So, make your own luck! Luck is all around you, just tune in to its vibes and it flows freely. No more hoping for luck, go and create it. Enjoy!
