How do you fancy a day away, a chance to have some proper Me Time? You know how important that is, right? To hop on a plane and fly away, get away from it all. But of course that isn’t always possible is it?

I always say, baby steps… Let’s take one day at a time. You could graduate to a weekend retreat, four whole days of Me Time. But maybe that’s not really likely for you at the moment.

What is Me Time?


Me Time is the ultimate way of being good to yourself and before you ask, no it’s not selfishIt’s actually the perfect way for you to be the best you can be, or you and others.

I don’t have to tell you this but if you don’t make time for yourself, if you don’t look after yourself in the true sense of the words; then you will not be able to give to anyone. Sad but very true.

For a lot of people Me Time is not something they’re used to, they don’t know how to be good to themselves. And maybe you’re one of them.

When was the last time you actually listened to your body? When you were tired did you really relax or did you just carry on?

It’s not easy to begin if you’ve never done it. Stop what you were doing and make sure you are rested even relaxed for maybe just 5 minutes.

It’s so good for you!

Just suppose you were working at home and you had a report to finish. It’s late, you’ve had a long day and your eyes are almost closing.

How good do you think that report would be? How about having a half hour break or, even more outrageous, how about going to bed and really resting?

Then get up early and finish the report. The report will be so much better and so will you.

But you might not want to do that. However taking breaks is so much better than carrying on regardless of your energy levels.

I learned that a long time ago!

If you push yourself beyond your limits eventually your health will suffer, your relationships will suffer and therefore so will your life.

So what I’m suggesting here is baby steps. Take it slow.

Learn Me Time gradually!

So how about this – one day which will give you a chance to re-charge those batteries…

A day in London where you can have a couple of hours of mentoring. A spa, some champagne. Maybe bring a friend or just come on your own.
