How many times have you flipped through a Victoria Secret catalog and admired the fit and toned bodies of the models wearing the sexy lingerie? How many times have you wished you could be one of them? Well, I cannot promise you a Victoria Secret Angel contract but I can give you a few tips as well as provide you with a sample workout that will give you the body of an angel!

There are four main components that Victoria Secret models must follow in order to achieve the fantastic physique that we see on the glossy pages of the Victoria Secret catalog and on the runway. These four components are:

1. Work out – body sculpting exercises are a must

2. Cardio

3. Eat lean meat, veggies, fruit and drink plenty of water

4. Take supplements for healthy skin and nails

Angels work out at least three to five times a week. One to two hours a day is usually the normal routine. Let’s face it, most of us cannot find that amount of time so what I suggest is incorporating HIIT training once or twice a week which will allow you to cut your training time in half while still achieving your goals.

When it comes to resistance training, body sculpting exercises are the way to go. Losing weight is not enough – you will also need to get a toned and firm body! The best way to achieve this is through ballet inspired moves, high intensity kick boxing, and yoga/pilates. Although strength and tone are a must, bulky muscles are a no-no. Also, your focus should be on your tummy, legs and butt.

Cardio is a very important aspect of achieving a Victoria Secret model body. Cardio provides an all-over body workout and helps with shedding extra pounds. Some good options for cardio are: running (indoors or outdoors), spinning, swimming, and walking on an incline. Make sure you get your heart rate up!

Now that we have covered the importance of exercise to achieving (and keeping) the Victoria Secret model body, we get into another very important aspect the daily diet! You should aim to eat fresh, organic, clean foods as much as possible. Fruits, green veggies, and lean meat/fish are very important and should be eaten daily. Meals should be small and eaten every 2-3 hours to keep the metabolism up.

Although eating a clean diet generally provides you with plenty of vitamins and nutrients, it is not a bad idea to take some additional supplements such as biotin, vitamin C, coconut oil, etc. You want to keep your skin, hair, and nails looking their best!

A sample arm routine would be:

1. Tricep dips

2. Alternating medicine ball pushups

3. Diamond pushups

4. Triple jabs

A sample leg routine would be:

1. Lunges: forward, reverse, and side

2. Squats, squats, squats

3. Glute bridge raises

4. Calf raises

A sample core routine would be:

1. Planks – all variations

2. Basic crunches

3. Standing ab twists with weight

While I cannot promise that you will be the next Victoria Secret Angel, you can be on your way to achieving a Victoria Secret model body if you eat a clean diet and train hard and consistently!
