Right ladies, before you book onto the next spinning class in the hope of cellulite reduction, let’s have a clear understanding of what cellulite actually is?!
Without getting too scientific discussing various degrees or types of cellulite, you know that ugly orange peel, dimple or cottage cheese appearance of your skin around your thighs, butt and even stomach that make your cringe in disgust?! Yes, that’s it, cellulite!
Cellulite is simply excess body fat. What happens is your fat cells get filled, plumped up (through excess calories, poor nutrition and toxin build up) and presses against the connective tissue producing the unwanted dimple effect. Now I can hear you saying but “I’m not that fat”, “I exercise regularly”, “I watch what I eat” or worse, you know someone who’s slimmer than you and still has cellulite, making you feel like it’s a lost cause!RELATED: RECOMMENDED PLANS FOR YOU
Please stop comparing yourself to others, you are unique, body composition varies from person to person as does skin anatomy. This means, different amounts of subcutaneous fat, thickness and density within the epidermis and dermis of the skin. This results in being more or less prone to the visibility of cellulite.
That being understood we have Good News and Bad News about cellulite!
The reduction in the appearance of cellulite can be achieved through correct diet and training. Let’s focus on changing body composition, you simply need to reduce your body fat while maximising blood stimulation in your cellulite-prone areas.
There are also a wide range of effective beauty treatments you can add to your regime for faster results. Specific massages, creams and advanced non-invasive cosmetic treatments. I pride myself in knowing and staying on top of the most effective treatments especially since that Brazilian cut Bikini bottom under stage lighting is unforgiving and my posterior chain needs to be as tight and smooth as a baby’s bottom.
My clients are of course privileged to my secret weapons, helping them to banish that dreaded cellulite in the shortest time possible, saving them grief, time and money.
Spinning has no advanced benefits for cellulite reduction. I evaluate training methods by looking at intensity, duration, metabolic effect, progression, all of which influences how I can change body composition aka drop body fat and build muscle. Sadly none of those spinning classes or any other studio classes will get you the physique changes you really want.
I am however going to give you a kick-ass spinning workout that ticks all my boxes. This spinning routine will boost your metabolism, drop your body fat, reducing the appearance of cellulite. It’s challenging yet simple and most effective, just the way I love things!
