Don’t worry, there are plenty of ingredients that you can use to make a Candida Diet friendly dessert.
Stevia and xylitol can be used in place of sugar and they have a much smaller effect on your blood sugar levels too.
For baking, almond flour and coconut flour are healthy options, but you can also use non-glutinous grains –buckwheat, millet, oat bran, or quinoa. These grains contain a high amount of fiber, excellent for keeping your digestive system moving and eliminating Candida toxins.
Try these great candida diet dessert recipes:
Easy Chocolate Pudding
1 cup coconut milk (full fat, I like Aroy-D and Biona or you can make your own)
2 Tbsp cacao powder or organic cocoa
1/2 tsp stevia powder extract
1 Tbsp quality gelatin (I like the one made by Great Lakes)
2 Tbsp water
Mix the gelatin and water in small bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Add the gelatin to the pan and stir until dissolved.
Add the coconut milk, cocoa, and sweetener to a pan over medium heat and stir with a whisk.
When the coconut milk mixture is warm, transfer it into two small ramekins or pudding cups.
Place in the fridge for 30-45 minutes (or freezer for faster setting).
Chocolate Coconut Balls
1 heaping Tbsp smooth natural almond butter
1 heaping Tbsp tahini (sesame paste)
2 level tsp cacao powder (may substitute with carob powder)
2 tsp (10 ml) finely ground chia or ground flax
8-10 drops stevia liquid
1 tsp (5 ml) pure alcohol-free vanilla extract (optional)
1/4 cup unsweetened, dried shredded coconut
1 Tbsp (15 ml) hemp seeds (or hemp nuts), optional
1 pinch salt
In a food processor blend the almond butter, tahini, cacao/carob powder, salt and chia until you have a smooth paste. Add the stevia and vanilla, blend. Add the coconut and hemp seeds and pulse until evenly distributed. Scoop the mixture by spoonful and roll into balls. Refrigerate (or freeze) 20 minutes or more to allow the mixture to firm up a bit. Makes 4-5 balls.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Ingredients (serves 2)
1 13 oz can full fat coconut milk
1 13 oz can organic pumpkin
1 teaspoon organic Autumn Spice blend or just cinnamon
1/2 tsp stevia powder extract
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (alcohol free)
12 ice cubes
2 tablespoons hydrosolate gelatin (this one does not gel by Great Lakes).
Place all the ingredients into the blender and pulse until smooth. Pour in two cups, serve and enjoy.
