It’s a rainy day here on Long Island and I’m not a fan of rainy weather. I’ve found that my mood is very much affected by the weather, and if it’s cloudy, rainy, snowy, etc., I tend to not be as energetic, happy or as productive as I am when it’s 75 and sunny!
That being said, every week I like to provide you guys with some great content, and this week is no different!

You’ve all probably seen a lot of different blog posts, emails, etc. from me about great ways to get in a fat-burning workout without using up a lot of your time or a lot of equipment. I going to take a different angle now…
Today we’re going to look at things from a dietary perspective
When you think about ‘going on a diet,’ what do you think of? I don’t know about you, but what I used to think of, in a word, was ‘DEPRIVATION.’
I feared not being able to eat my favorite comfort foods, or even a lot of food in general. I feared watching my portions, counting calories, and often going to bed hungry while leading this tedious lifestyle.
Does anyone ever wonder why diets simply DON’T work?
Would you like to learn how I lost 100 lbs. eating close to 5,000 calories per day?
Today we’re going to go over how you can achieve weight loss without hunger. That’s right: Eat all the food you want, and don’t worry about ever going hungry. WEight loss without hunger is achievable!
How is this possible, you ask? And how do I know this?
Well, I’ve personally lost 100 lbs. from my heaviest to where I am now. Don’t believe me?
It took me nearly a DECADE to lose all that weight and I am NOT going back! It started off as trial-and-error, trying out the typical means of weight loss (calorie counting and portion control), but after about 35 miserable lbs. of severe restriction, low energy and constant hunger, I plateaued.
It was at that point that I started looking into different fad diets. The Atkins Diet, the South Beach Diet, the Mediterranean Diet, juicing; you name it, and it’s almost a certainty that I tried it for at least a few weeks!
The results? Very mixed, and none all that gratifying either.
Then, I got turned onto LIPOLYSIS. Lipolysis is a fancy word that defines the utilization of your fat stores as your main energy source.
Another way to look at it is the burning of your fat stores all day long, having high energy all the time and, most importantly, weight loss without hunger.
How do you achieve lipolysis? Glad you asked!
There are two ways to do this:
• Watch the quality of the foods you’re eating.
How do we know if a food is up to par? Simple! Here’s a three-part checklist to make sure it is:
• Is the food processed? Nine times out of 10, you’ll know simply by the fact that it has a nutritional label on it.
• Is the food organic? If it’s not, there’s a good chance there are at least one of the following toxic chemicals in the non-organic food you’re eating: pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics or hormones.
• Is it included in the following sentence outlining what a high quality food is? “Eat meats, vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.” If you follow this sentence, you’ll be in pretty good shape from a quality perspective.
• Eat healthy fats.
Up until very recently, most people avoided dietary fat like the plague, believing it to be fattening and heart disease-laden.
Fortunately more and more research is coming out every day putting this huge misconception to bed!
There’s only one type of fat you should avoid, and it’s a man-made carcinogen known as trans-fat.
What’s the best way to avoid trans-fat, you may be asking? Avoid fried, processed foods like fried chicken and donuts, and don’t cook with vegetable oil. When vegetable oil is heated to a certain point, it hydrogenates and becomes this toxic chemical which is ‘no bueno’!
So what’s a healthy fat?
Some of my favorites include: eggs, avocado, coconut oil, avocado oil, butter, almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds and salmon.
Don’t worry about eating too much of these foods!
The above foods will keep you full for hours, boosting your energy levels for the entire day and will help your body transfer from the unnatural state of glucosis (an over-saturation of carb intake, and thus your body’s reliance on carbs for energy, which leads to excess fat storage) to lipolysis (using your fat stores as fuel, which is how our bodies are designed to function).
I hope this will help you to begin taking those first steps to better health and towards achieving your weight loss goals.
You can achieve weight loss without hunger! You don’t have to deprive yourself in order to be happy and healthy.
