Do you think that is time-consuming to prepare a proper meal in the industrialised busy world that we live? Or that you don’t have much time to eat your ‘’5 a day’’?  If so, then grab your superfood drink and boost your immune system.

Are there really superfoods?

The term ‘’superfood’’ seems to be a term mostly used by media to attract attention and is probably just a marketing word to describe foods with unusual high levels of antioxidants, vitamins or other nutrients. There are indeed foods that offer additional health benefits than others and may reduce the risk of disease or promote optimal health. These are called “functional” foods among the scientific community and should be part of a healthy diet food pattern.

Preparing drinks can be easier than preparing proper meals

Sometimes preparing a drink can be a lot easier and tastier too! We all have blender in our kitchen and within seconds we can make a delicious smoothie with all the necessary nutrients to support our everyday activities. For those that need a boost during the day at work, there is always a place to find freshly made juices or smoothies and benefit from them. An important recommendation to note is that blending provides all the fiber of the fruit and vegetables, which juicing omits.

So, what are you waiting for?
