Bone broth has been known as a “magic elixir” as it is not only extremely rich in protein but other minerals as well

These include glycine, which is known to be a great aid in detoxifying the body and supporting digestion. Digestive health is further supported by another component of bone broth: gelatin.

The fact is bone broth is full of amazing natural health benefits for the human body. And the best of it is that all of these health benefits are achieved at a much lower cost than any ready meals or other “proper” food ingredients, as bones usually cost less than a couple of dollars per pound. Wonderfully healthy and gratifyingly inexpensive. Can’t go wrong!

I accept that bone broth might still be a new concept for you and you are likely to remain uncertain at this point. I also understand that, to some, the name might not sound the most attractive. But bear with me!

Bone broth is a slow-cooked soup made from animal bones which are filled with terrific health benefits derived from the bone’s nutrients, which include magnesium, calcium and collagen.

Bone broth as a beverage is a great addition to any diet, especially if you are struggling with skin problems, immunity issues or digestive trouble

This is partly why bone broth has become such a popular drink, as it is inexpensive and easy to make, while allowing an abundance of health benefits for those who take the time to make and consume it.

There are many different recipes on the internet offering numerous handy hints and tips about how to make bone broth. I recommend having a good look.

When combined with apple cider vinegar (to coax the minerals out of the bones), seasonings and/or vegetables, animal bones can make a tasty and nutritious broth, which can be stored in the fridge for up to four days.

Plus, if you make a large batch of bone broth, it’s great to freeze, which will help cut back on prep time in the future and really make for easy use when you need it the most!

I personally enjoy the meaty flavor and find that it’s a great snack or even drink when I’m feeling like some much needed energy. Not only that, it tastes amazing too!

Now that you have a little more background information about bone broth and why it’s such a magic elixir, here is a great recipe for you to try out yourself at home. Pleasant bone broth making!
