Hey there beautiful people, I’ve spoken about this before, but I want to share the benefits of alkalizing again with some additions.
You know you’ve been working on getting rid of extra fat, training and eating healthier yet you can’t seem to get rid of it. Well, just like the body regulates its own temperature it also has to balance its Ph of alkalinity versus acid. Just like when our temperature is too high or too low, bad things happen. The same goes for your Ph levels.RELATED: RECOMMENDED PLANS FOR YOU
Here’s how I like to explain it. Think of your body like a swimming pool…
At the start of the season your pool is a mess, so to get ready you have to balance the Ph in order to swim in the water safely. If you add too much chlorine the pool is too acidic and not fun to swim in. Then on the other side, if there is not enough acid in the pool fungus grows and the pool turns green which is also not fun to swim. The pool just isn’t functioning as it’s supposed to.
The only way to balance the Ph level is to add just enough acid and just enough alkalinity to make the water swim worthy.
The same goes for the body
When we are too high on one side or the other we don’t function quite as well. If we are too acidic we tend to hold on to body fat in order to negate some of the effects of the acidity. Most of us fall on the acidic side of things because of the foods we consume. We drink sugary and caffeinated beverages, we eat process foods and exercise vigorously too often (yes sometimes that can be bad because it creates acid within the body).
What this does is creates an oxygen scarce body and blood stream that slows down your metabolism and creates fat stores to take away the acids away from our vital organs to protect us.
You know when you stay focused on your nutrition and stay away from alcohol and all the good stuff and have a flatter stomach and then the weekend rolls around and you indulge in some of those acid based foods and drink. By Monday you feel fatter and feel bloated. That’s your body’s way of protecting the organs from the acidity.
You were alkalizing your body all week, balancing your ph and then boom, an onslaught of acid and the body has to deal with it somehow which ends up being fat storage and water retention.
We have lower levels of oxygen because of higher levels of acid and we tend to lack energy. The air we breathe in has a positive charge and the tissue in our body and our blood has a negative charge. If we are acidic those negative charge can’t flow freely. In this environment we cannot create an electrical charge or energy within the body, hence why we get lethargic.
We could all do with losing a little fat right? So, in order to avoid creating an environment that stores fat, that attacks the walls of arteries and veins, blood pressure issues, increases the likelihood of cellular mutations (cancers), decreases energy reserves and toxic build up we can we do. You can…..
1. Test your blood, urine or saliva. You can get strips online or we will have some at the gym within the next few days.
2. Drink lemon water first thing in the morning to help alkalize the body and flush some of the acid we accumulated while sleeping
3. Eat foods that are live foods. Peppers, almonds, celery, cucumbers, melons, avocados, carrots, coconuts and anything green like broccoli, spinach, kale and so on. Make these about 70% of your diet
4. Cut back on acid forming foods like sugar, meats, bread, processed foods.
Easy right? If you think you can do these four things, try it for a week and if you see results, keep doing it. Don’t change a winning formula! It won’t be easy for those who don’t eat lots of vegetables or drink lots of water, but give it a go. What do you have to lose?
Hope this was helpful. As usual if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for your continued support. The DNA Dream Team.
